Oxford Post Script....

Although I had originally planned to depart Oxford on the morning of Saturday 16th, an exceptionally late evening after the Farewell Dinner caused me to sleep through my alarm and hastily depart Oxford minus my caravan of Oxford memories (mainly clothing...) to attend the wedding of a family friend in Surrey. Hence I write this email back at my desk in Oxford.

My new plan, College accomodation officer permitting, is to remain in Oxford this week and use cheap rent and the business school facilities (namely free email) to embark on an 'Employment Blitz' with my main targets being Dublin and London.

The last week was extremely busy with many loose ends to be tied up and errands to be performed and a few social events such as my good friend Pierce Louis' bucks party (Tuesday), the Business Projects Office Awards ceremony (Thursday) and the MBA Farewell Dinner on Friday. Of particular note, was that my team received the Runners Up Prize for our New Business Development project concerning Residential Geothermal Heating and Cooling in Canada.

I was so wound up on Thursday evening that I awoke at 3am after 3 hours sleep and began working on various chores and sending emails. Add to that a 3am finish after the Farewell Dinner and I was pretty exhausted for the wedding I attended on behalf of my brother Richard back in Australia. In his absence, he wrote a very heartfelt telegram which was very warmly received by all in attendance.

That is all from me for now but I want to instruct those of you with a PC and internet connection to download Skype (free of charge) so we can start making 100% free PC to PC and very cheap international phone calls. This is an excellent way to remain in better communication.

Anyway, enough from me. I will be in touch soon.

Cheers,
Doug.
